Set Ashore art exhibition is coming to Positive Light Projects Exeter
From 31 October – 8 November 2026!
Organised by local artist and avid sea kayaker Katarina Kos and member of the Tiverton Art Society, this upcoming exhibition features a major collection of her work alongside beautiful pieces by Sandra Goodenough and Clare Flinn.
The trio approach our shores from completely unique, contrasting angles:
- Katarina Kos – uses her first-hand experiences on the open water to capture the wild energy of the high seas, directly confronting ocean warming and climate change through striking mixed-media acrylics.
- Sandra Goodenough & Clare Flinn – contrast this urgency by exploring the nostalgic warmth and raw beauty of our coastal edges, capturing the spaces “where land meets sea, where wildness and people live in uneasy harmony.”
The exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in these contrasting viewpoints, moving seamlessly between elemental urgency and reflective atmospheric edges.
Highlighting the real-world impact of these tidal themes, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) will also be joining the event to highlight their ongoing emergency work along our coastlines. The public is invited to meet the artists, watch them paint, and connect with the RNLI team at a special Opening Night Reception on Tuesday 3 November from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. All welcome!
