About
Painting for me is about observing and appreciating the created world. I love to be outdoors, and most of my painting is from my own photographs or plein air sketches from my walks, with plants and water a particular interest.
I have worked mostly in watercolour over the last two years, and appreciate the focus developed through this demanding medium. I also enjoy working in pastels and oils and experimenting with collage from recycled paintings.
My other creative passion is textile crafts, and I currently offer workshops in sewing and upcycling clothing, which can be found at www.stitchyourstuff.co.uk.
