Saturday 18th March 10am -4pm at Uplowman Village Hall

We are surrounded by some of the most varied and moody upland landscapes in Britain with Exmoor, the Quantocks and the Blackdown Hills on our doorstep. In this workshop you will learn how to start from a photograph or sketch to abstract key elements and add depth to your compositions resulting in your own unique response to the landscape. 

Annie will demonstrate her approach to oil painting using palette knives, rags, sticks and other materials and share many hard-won lessons on composition and technique. The limited places will enable Annie to give plenty of hands-on help and discussion time to ensure you walk away with a painting you are truly proud of. So, whether you are a complete beginner or an artist looking for a different challenge you are very welcome. 

Although Annie will be working in oils, this workshop is suitable for oils, acrylics and watercolours. You are encouraged to bring your own photos and sketches and we will start by painting a small piece in preparation for the final work.
