March 2022 members meeting

The March meetings are one of the best attended meetings during the year. March is when we have the “Critique of Members’ Work” by a guest artist.

In all my time with the society (well over 12 years now), I have never known this particular meeting to never be very helpful to all who attend.

This year we had as our guest artist one of our professional members Claire Western. Claire had her work cut out for her, as TAS members brought in a great selection of art work for her to critique and discuss.

It is always constructive to have another pair of eyes view your work and suggest other options that you could take with your work. This ranges from the size of the work to what frame or mount could be used etc. Claire also pointed out how well aspects of the art work worked, which is again helpful to those attending.

Overall a very informative evening and one that I think everyone came away with some new insights to help improve their art or even try something different.

If you are not a member of the Society and are interested in joining, then pop over to our ‘How to join‘ page.
