Queen’s Platinum Jubilee project
As mentioned in the April news letter, Elaine Chetham has been busy working on ideas for TAS to create some art for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. As Elaine say’s, it’s not often we get to celebrate such a rare event.
So the plan is as follows, members create an art work in the style of Andy Warhol’s “Reigning Queens” portrait.
Any medium can be used, even digital. Size not an issue, but ideal if the art work could be 16 x 20 (ish), but not a problem if you want to go smaller or bigger.
The art work obviously needs to be completed by June, but if you have yours completed by the May 11th members meeting, bring it along. I’ll then take photos of each one.
If you can’t make it to the meeting, or it takes you a little longer to get your art completed. Just take a photo and email it to stuart@artonthehoof.co.uk
Once I start receiving photos, I can then create a new gallery on the website, and we can proudly show the work off to the world.
Many thanks to Elaine for organising this idea, and I look forward to seeing what we all create.
