The July Tiverton Art Society members’ meeting featured our ever-popular ‘Black and White Art Critique’. This year’s event was no exception, with a fantastic turnout and a wonderful display of high-quality artwork from our members.

The critique is carried out by a guest artist, and this year we were delighted to welcome Margaret Micklewright, who kindly took on the role and shared her thoughts, insights and expertise with us.

A highlight of the evening is the presentation of a £25 prize for the artwork judged to be the best on the night. This year, that honour went to Marietta Sully for her beautiful and evocative piece, ‘Sleepless in Sidmouth’.

As always, it was a fantastic and inspirational evening, celebrating the creativity, talent and enthusiasm of our members. Events such as these highlight the wonderful artistic community we are fortunate to have at Tiverton Art Society.
